Great work, thanks for participating! I really enjoy the way you write dialogue between characters-- it's additive to the piece while not being contrived. There's a fair few typos and grammatical errors in this, especially near the beginning prior to the back-and-forth dialogue that goes on throughout the second half of the story, but nothing that made the story impossible to understand. really imaginative work! I enjoyed the peripheral exposition -- it worked really well here in this fantasy setting. the soft magic system too was a smart choice. i was engaged throughout, well done :)
